Unfortunately, I have forgotten to take screen shots of me editing the intro of a music video in Final cut Pro. But what I can say was that it was very hard to do as I did not have a good sense of rhythm. This was because I was not able to hear the beating of the drum to know how to create a steady base track. Although I knew how to edit it all out I couldn’t finish the task as it took long for me to create the base track. I have learnt how to vital it is to film the singer/band playing the song from beginning to end so you have a lot of options and choice when deciding what shot to use for each base track. Also, by watching a tutorial on how to do this, I realised it was important to hear the artist sing the song therefore her lip synching could match with the original song. Finally, I learnt how you should have the original song in mp3 format as this is the main sound you would be using. And when you are editing, you should mute the sound of all the other footage since they’re singing is not required or heard in the music video.
